Pacific Trading cards was one of my all time favorite companies for hockey cards. It was fun to chase Private Stock with SP’d rookies etc. The Rick Nash RC /99 is still very much a collectable card even after 10 years.
One of my favorite sets was 2002-03 Crown Royale. This set had variants within the base set that were so interesting to collect. Some were purple, some were red and serial numbered.
Upper Deck and Topps had many serial numbered cards but none looked as sexy as these die cuts. This made collecting fun for me. Not only were you looking for the box hit, you were looking for the variants as well.

Ameet – I loved these as well, not quite as much as Atomic, just loved that die-cut more, but it’s all the same principle. I still have full base and parallel sets somewhere.
Atomic was great too! My favorite set by far was the first release of crown royale with the triple jersey relics. Those were really nice and were seeded 2 per box. If I am not mistaken that was the Gaborik RC year. The exact year of that release is escaping me right now.
